here are answers to some frequently asked questions:
What
is the Repurchase Option(RPO)? We
build communities and wish to stay involved over the long term. We know our communities
will appreciate in value over the years and we want to be a part of that appreciation.
We offer you a discount on your purchase price for the option to repurchase your
home when you are ready to sell for the price you paid, less depreciation on some
of your options and upgrades. If
I take it, what is the down side for me? With
the home you have owned over the years, you probably paid only a fraction of it's
current value. When we repurchase, you will not benefit from future appreciation
if any, on your new home. What
are the advantages of taking it? When
we repurchase, you don't have to pay a sales commission to a realtor; you don't
have to fix it up to get ready to sell; you don't have to haggle over the price
with potential buyers; and you receive a generous discount on you purchase price. What
if I take the plan and years from now I'm ready to sell and you don't exercise
your option to purchase? In
that case, you would be free to sell at the highest market price you could get
and you would have still received your discount when you originally bought your
home... You'd have the best of both worlds!
